My sons party is Saturday! I'm working on all the details today ! I will have a candy/popcorn bar. Got some of the ideas from Pinterest, others I came up with myself! We are doing an avengers theme. So I have made all color coordinated candy dishes to character.most of stuff I printed, or got from the dollar store! If I can do it, you can do it!

I am very proud of my son! He did an amazing job on his painiting. Sometimes he gets discouraged while he's sketching or painting! He gets very hard on himself. This time i just told him step by step what to do, and he did GREAT!!! I think he was even excited about his work. He can't wait to take it to school to show it off tomorrow for show and tell! He still as to paint Boston strong on it!

So I tried my artistic skills in canvas painting this am! I had a little time while my daughter napped! Figured why not! I could either clean or paint! The OBViOUS choice was to paint! I was so excited with how it came out. Less of a finger painting look then they usually do! I will paint with my son later stay tuned for more pictures!!!

Went to michaels FiNALLY.... Getting really low on crafts! I decided I wanted to try to paint a picture on a canvas with my son! So excited!!! I'm going to study up on the computer! Also I got them a craft to make me for Mother's Day ;) shhhh don't tell me! And other random crafts! I can't wait to start doing them!!! Stay tuned!

Today my two kids and i did a bunch of crafts. Also we did an experiment, that wasn't even for school!! We made some more Mother's Day crafts/gift. And did the experiment with ice cubes, water, string, and salt! It was fun. I couldn't actually get a picture of the experiment but regardless it was fun! And we did it together! Ill post instructions if you want to try!

Another genius idea from my favorite site! My LO and I made home made cards for my NOW nine year old. His party theme is avengers of course! So I searched for crafts and thumb print avengers came up. Which is perfect, we love doing hand/foot/thumb print pictures!!!! So I decided to make the pictures into birthday cards. I'm sure ours didnt come out as amazing as the child who made them in the picture we looked at did, but they aren't to bad! Give it a shot!

Finger painting is a favorite at craft time! Even my oldest with all his older crafts, still asks to finger paint! Not going to lie I'm 27 and I still enjoy it! The littlest one loves the feeling of it. She loves to paint her own hands. I caught her today with her messy rainbow hands under the table. She was painting her feet. After cleaning all her body parts, we started Mother's Day crafts! Of course i got some ideas from Pinterest. Then some i got from my big creative mind! Check them out...

Now being a big art lover myself. And having two kids that I like to also let their lil artistic side shine, it gets pretty messy. I have made my own art studio in my house. My Son and I are very much into sketching and painting. He is actually pretty good! But as a mom, I would recommend letting your children get their hands dirty. I will be posting some of our work on here!!!
